ABOUT US
TeachinAid is an organisation that seeks to improve the quality of education through the provision of adequate literacy and numeracy skills for children between the ages of two (2) and thirteen (13) years.
The organisation aims at equipping children with standard literacy and numeracy skills that serve as a solid foundation for their total development. Our emphasis is on equipping children with skills rather than mere knowledge. We strive to ensure that language is taught in a very practical and interesting way that guarantees results.
This is achieved by:
1. Employing an effectual “play-as-you learn” method of teaching that is stress
free and fun.
2. Using games and activities that enable children to use the theories and
tools given in mainstream school in a practical way.
3. Engaging children in such a way that enables them create memorable
experiences that stay with them forever.
4. Offering help and support to children with literacy deficits.
TeachinAid supplements the work of regular schools and institutions to ensure the holistic education and development of children. Sessions are held every Saturday from 9am to 3pm with vacation programmes running when schools are on holiday.
Saturday Literacy & Numeracy Club
Our literacy club is open on Saturdays between 9:00am – 3:00pm. Children are engaged in fun activities that improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. We also offer walk–in service to parents who want their children kept and engaged positively while they run their errands. We also have a period for supervising homework.
Extra Tuition
We offer extra tuition for children who have literacy challenges (Children who are aged 8 years and yet cannot read, weak readers and children who are weak spellers)

Home Tuition
We also give home tuition to children whose parents cannot make the time to bring their children to our premises.
After School Care
Our premises have a serene homey atmosphere for children. Working parents could leave their children in our care and pick them up after work. We supervise homework.
Pick up Services
We have a very comfortable bus which picks up and drops off children to and from their schools at a very affordable rate.
Community and Civic Support
Our utmost priority is to extend our support to children in public schools. We help needy children with academic needs for free. Our concept is to use revenue generated from members who pay to support the needy. Our institution therefore appeals to well wishers to contribute either in cash or kind to support our public school projects. You can support by donating books or supporting a child
Others
Parents who want their children kept during mid–term breaks could also drop them off at our premises. Special arrangements could be made for parents who require any service other than what has been listed.
